Exclusive tool helps companies to have control over data and build a trusting relationship with their consumers
In an unprecedented partnership, the GDB (Global Data Bank), a privacy and technology company that offers media, data and compliance solutions, and the WMcCann agency, bring to Brazil the Data Safety Index – DSI. It is a proprietary and exclusive methodology that assists in the analysis and control of data on the digital presence of brands and companies, identifying possible flaws and vulnerabilities to suggest security and privacy solutions.
Data protection is indeed an international challenge. Brazil is the second largest internet heavy user in the world and the pandemic has accelerated the digital presence of consumers, with massive growth in online purchases – which makes large-scale data storage and adequacy even more challenging and important, as well as the adaptation to the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
We realized that many companies do not have a real dimension of their digital presence and, many times, do not even imagine that their data is out of compliance, and can often be accessed even by their competitors. Therefore, we joined WMcCann to bring to Brazil this platform that will help brands ensure the security of their data and their consumers, in addition to the necessary adjustments to the strictest privacy laws, says Guilherme Soter, CEO of GDB for Latin America.
The tool performs a complete scan and reading of companies’ data protection scenario, being able to indicate where data enters and exits; how much and to whom they are exposed, in addition to other details. The implementation of the diagnosis happens almost instantaneously, allowing agility in the solution of the most critical problems regarding possible leaks or unethical use of data.
With the partnership, WMcCann guarantees the exclusivity of the service to Brazilian agencies for 12 months. The internal teams are receiving training in partnership with the GDB, so that they can use the too with clients nationwide.
We are honored with this partnership and the possibility of helping Brazilian companies to have control over data and build a trusting relationship with consumers, highlights André França, President of WMcCann.
The DSI is already used by large corporations globally, with the endorsement of the WFA (World Federation of Advertising) – the main advertising entity in the world, in which the ABA (Brazilian Association of Advertisers) is also a member of the Executive Board.
