El Festival Internacional de Creatividad Cannes Lions anunció los nombres finales de los miembros del jurado de 2019, que representan una mezcla diversa de disciplinas de toda la industria global.
Cannes Lions se compromete a mejorar la diversidad y el equilibrio de género en sus jurados. En 2019, el 48% de los miembros del jurado son mujeres, frente al 46% del 2018, el 43% del 2017 y el 40% del 2016. Los jurados de los Cannes Lions estarán representados por especialistas de clase mundial de más de 50 países, con miembros del jurado por primera vez de Jordania y Marruecos este año.
En 2019, los jurados pertenecen al más alto nivel de experiencia en la industria a nivel mundial. Hay tres miembros del jurado honrados por OBE y una amplia variedad de especialidades de todo el panorama de la industria. Representantes de agencias se sientan junto a marcas innovadoras y compañías de tecnología, entre ellas: Samsung, LEGO, Amazon y Alibaba; y Consultorías, tales como: Deloitte, IBM iX y McKinsey, así como una expansión verdaderamente global de agencias independientes, desde Åkestam Holst e Innocean, hasta Wieden + Kennedy, Cheil y M&C Saatchi. Una gran cantidad de compañías de entretenimiento también están representadas en los jurados este año, como Netflix y Marvel Entertainment.
En los 27 Lions especializados, que reflejan la amplitud de las disciplinas en la industria del marketing creativo y las comunicaciones, se lanzan dos nuevas categorías este año, diversificando aún más la demografía del jurado. Los Lions de la estrategia creativa, dirigidos a estrategas de una combinación de empresas y planificadores de agencias, celebran cómo la planificación estratégica puede redefinir una marca, reinventar su negocio e influir en los consumidores.
